Heather Lamanno has been documenting and visually exploring urban landscape since graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2007. Her recent body of mixed media landscapes explore the visual complexities of urban infrastructure. For the past decade Lamanno has been an active member of the KC arts community. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including Have I been here before? curated by Jamilee Polson Lacy in 2012. She was selected for the Urban Culture Project Studio Residency program in 2009, and Arts Inc. Live! in 2014. Lamanno has worked as a Museum Educator for the youth programs at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary, and is currently a graduate candidate at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Lamanno resides in Minneapolis with husband and fellow artist Daniel Lough, and their five children.
